Archiving and Long-Term Preservation Policy
The Journal of International Economic Policy ensures the long-term preservation of published materials and uninterrupted access to them through a combination of local backups, storage on the journal’s website, and external digital archiving.
Authors are permitted to upload the published version of their article (Author's Accepted Manuscript), to any institutional repository or database. In doing so, it is essential to cite the publisher and the journal, specifically stating: ‘This is the published version of an article from the Journal of International Economic Policy, published by Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman . The article is available at https://doi.org/[DOI of the article]’.
Current Preservation of Materials
All published articles, metadata, PDF files and administrative information are stored on the journal’s website, which is used for publishing materials.
Backup
The journal ensures regular backups of electronic materials, including:
- article and issue files;
- journal’s website database.
External archiving
For the purpose of long-term digital preservation, the journal additionally uses institutional and national repositories:
Action plan in the event of the journal ceasing operations
In the event of the journal ceasing operations, the founder and editorial board shall ensure:
- preservation of the entire archive of published issues and articles;
- transfer or maintenance of access to the archive via an external preservation system, an institutional repository or another stable electronic resource;
- preservation of basic publication metadata, including DOIs, titles, author details, abstracts and bibliographic descriptions;
- preservation of open access to already published materials, where technically and legally feasible.
Responsibility
Responsibility for the implementation of the archiving and long-term preservation policy lies with the journal’s founder and publisher, in conjunction with the journal’s editorial board.
